The Only Thing More Important Than Indian Market

There are very few events we look forward to more than Santa Fe Indian Market.
Every August, it feels like the entire Native art world gathers beneath the New Mexico sun. It's a chance to reconnect with artists we've come to admire, discover incredible new talent, share stories, laugh over green chile, and return home inspired with beautiful new works to share with all of you.
Normally, we'd already be packing the car.
This year... we're unpacking it.
As much as it breaks our hearts to miss Indian Market, sometimes life gently reminds us what matters most.
Our sweet kitty has been facing a few health challenges, and right now, she needs her family more than we need another buying trip. Jewelry can wait. Artists will still be creating beautiful work. Indian Market will be there next year.
But our little furry supervisor expects her staff to report for duty immediately.
She has appointments to attend, naps that require close supervision, medications that somehow taste offensive no matter how cleverly they're hidden, and an endless need for ear scratches and reassuring conversations. It's a full-time position, and frankly, she's a demanding boss.
The truth is, every piece of jewelry we sell celebrates something meaningful—family, tradition, love, history, milestones, and the connections we make throughout life.
Sometimes those connections have four paws and a tail.
So while we'll certainly miss wandering the Plaza, catching up with artists, and soaking in one of our favorite weekends of the year, we're exactly where we need to be. Taking care of family.
We know many of you have been there too. Whether it's caring for a parent, a spouse, a child, a lifelong friend, or a beloved pet, those moments remind us that the greatest investments we ever make aren't measured in dollars—they're measured in time.
Our E-GALLERY is here for you to shop as always, and we'll still be bringing you more beautiful handmade Native American jewelry soon via our connections in New Mexico. However, we may have to wait a little longer for our next buying adventure to the Land of Enchantment, but that's okay.
Some adventures can wait.
Love can't.
Please give your own furry (or feathered, or scaled) family members an extra hug from all of us today. They never stay with us long enough, and somehow they always manage to leave paw prints on our hearts.
We'll be cheering on all of the amazing artists from afar this year, and we already can't wait to see everyone at Indian Market next August.
Until then...
Our favorite masterpiece is currently curled up on the couch, reminding us that sometimes the greatest treasures aren't made of sterling silver at all.
