At Santa Fe Sun Handmade, every piece of jewelry carries a story—of the stones used in creation, perhaps of the artist who made it, maybe the traditions it represents, and overall the care that goes into every detail. We are proud to offer authentic, handcrafted work, and just as importantly, we are committed to keeping our prices as reasonable and accessible as possible.

That commitment is at the heart of everything we do—including how we handle returns.
We want to be very clear: we absolutely welcome returns when something isn’t right. Your satisfaction matters to us. At the same time, we kindly ask that customers approach each purchase with intention—and we are proud to share that since our inception in early 2025, we have been very pleased with the extremely low number of returns we’ve received. That tells us our customers are thoughtful in their selections, and that our efforts to accurately present each piece are working.
For a small business, returns are not just a simple reversal of a sale—they come with real and immediate costs. Shipping fees, payment processing fees that are not refunded, restocking time, and the potential for wear or damage all add up quickly. Unlike large retailers, we don’t have the margins to absorb these costs without consequence.
And here’s the most important part: those costs directly impact our ability to keep our prices low.
Every unnecessary return puts pressure on pricing. Our goal has always been to offer beautiful, authentic jewelry at prices that feel reasonable—not inflated to cover excessive overhead. Keeping returns to a minimum is one of the most important ways we are able to do that.
That’s why we put so much care into what you see on our site.
We strive to provide clear, detailed photos, accurate measurements, and honest descriptions so you know exactly what you’re purchasing. Because so many of our pieces are handmade and one-of-a-kind, capturing their true character is essential—and something we take seriously.
To help you make confident decisions, we encourage you to take advantage of the resources we’ve created. Our Find Your Size page is especially helpful when purchasing rings and cuffs, ensuring you select the right fit the first time. For pendants, we also recommend visiting our How to Measure Your Bale blog, which walks you through how to properly check bale sizing so your pendant pairs seamlessly with your chain.
In addition, we are always transparent about the nature of handmade jewelry,
colors of stones and how computer/phone monitor settings and even the human eye can interpret visual aspects differenlty. As noted in the footer of our website:
Stones will vary in texture and shape.
Appearance of colors may vary slightly due to lighting, screen display, and/or individual perception.
Handmade work is unique in its design, and imperfections are part of a piece's character. Inconsistencies will occur naturally, making each piece truly one of a kind.
These are not flaws—they are part of what makes each piece special and authentic.
We share all of this because we want you to feel confident in your purchase—but also because your purchasing decisions truly matter.
When you shop thoughtfully, you’re helping us do something very important: keep our prices reasonable for everyone.
It allows us to continue supporting talented artists, offering one-of-a-kind pieces, and running our business in a way that prioritizes accessibility over inflated pricing.
If you ever do need to make a return, we sincerely appreciate your feedback. Understanding the reason helps us improve and continue refining the way we present our jewelry.
At the end of the day, this is a shared effort. Your care and consideration make a real difference—not just for us, but for every customer who values quality, authenticity, and accessible pricing.
Thank you for supporting a small business and for shopping with intention.
